Good morning, fellow birders – Here’s a heads-up about an event that should be fascinating. On Friday March 15th, Allan Strong will be speaking at St. Michael's College (McCarthy Recital Hall) as part of the Green Mountain Club’s Taylor Series. The title isn’t finalized yet, but here’s a description of the topic:
"My research focuses on the factors that influence habitat quality for birds. Much of this work involves quantifying the factors that influence food availability; although, some of my recent research looks at the effects of anthropogenic habitat (e.g., ski resorts, urbanization, and agricultural habitats) modification on bird populations."
The talk will start at 7:00 and run for about an hour, with Q and A after.
