We use a system where you can also make vacuum tubes and also helium filled tubes. With repeated vacuum and helium flushing one can make air free tubes quite fast, probably 96 tubes in 30 minutes.
Body for flushing 24 tubes is constructed in our workshop from products one can get from shops selling pneumatic equipment (valve for each tube, valve to choose vacuum or filling line, pressure gauge) and then also some system to fix needles to body so that you can also remove them. Then you need also a vacuum pump and a helium tank with pressure regulator.

Subject: [ISOGEOCHEM] Offline Exetainer Flushing
Has anyone developed an off-line method for flushing a full batch (96) of exetainers? I am unsure of the cost of a stand alone CTC Analytics PAL autosampler. It would be great to free up the Gasbench-IRMS for only measurements and let the exetainers/tubes be prepped separately. Any thoughts?
