Albatrosses All Around

Midway Atoll, the site of the crucial Battle of Midway in World War II, is now 
the largest breeding site for albatrosses in the world, hosting over one million 
birds. Birder and world traveler, Debby Bergh, Chair of the Audubon Vermont 
Board of Directors, visited Midway during the breeding season last year. In this 
illustrated program Debby will show us her photographs of breeding Laysan, 
Black-footed, and rare Short-tailed Albatrosses as well as many other creatures 
that call Midway home. Among these are endangered Hawaiian Monk Seals, Green Sea 
Turtles, and Bonin Petrels.
