Good morning! While I was expecting to see some birds later on the lake today, I did not expect the flurry of activity walking out of Auto Creek just now after getting my car serviced. Just before I got in my car, a flock of redpolls ~120, possibly more like 150 flushed and circled above before scattering in a number of tall trees around the property. I intensely scoped out the birds, scouring for my first hoary and I did end up finding them. I saw one by itself at first, and after it flew off I found a pair that were both visible in the scope at the same time. I can't be sure the first hoary wasn't one of these two, however. Finally!
