Last winter I was surprised to see a brown creeper feed on a peanut butter/lard/corn meal mixture I put out for the woodpeckers and nuthatches (along with crows and starlings...), and I posted about it. So recently I was again surprised to see a golden crowned kinglet feeding on the mixture. Again, not a bird I expected to come in to a feeder situation and not one I see that often but it has been around, irregularly, for a couple weeks or so. That was nice in and of itself but then to see it feed was an interesting sighting. I've been able to count it for Feeder Watch. And, today there were two of them at one point! One brown creeper is quite regular still, occasionally a second one also.
