Hey all,
I know we haven't done too much since the banquet besides the awesome
Vermonster eating contest so here's an update.
I did the EWB State Rep online meeting yesterday. It was with ME/NH/VT
student and professional chapters and important people from national.
Sebastian and me gave our update and heard how other chapters were
doing. The Burlington Professional chapter is resubmitting their 501
for the project in Nicaragua and I will keep in touch with Carrie this
summer to see how we can get involved once their application is
approved which should be in June.
We also found out that the EWB Northeast Regional conference is
planned for Nov. 22-24, 2013 at Rutgers, NJ. This will definitely be
worth going to for the new officers and any members who want to see
how other chapters operate.
There was also talk for an International Conference in Panama in 2014,
but there were no specific details yet.
The solar-cooler project is still part of EWB, but Alec will be taking
charge of it this summer into next year as we pursue another project
for club.
It would be great if the officers could keep in touch this summer so
we don't lose our momentum! I'll be here this summer starting June
1st. Let me know if you guys have any questions, good luck on finals
if you have any left, and have a great summer!!!!!
