After a couple of exciting weeks of aerial displays and vocalizations, and occupation of a long abandoned nest, only a single bird remains at the nest site. No mate has been observed inthe last couple of days. The one osprey looks down at the nest and then scans the sky. It will be interesting to see how long it remains on vigil. After all the investment made in securing this site it is tough to see this not pan out with some new chicks. From Derby-Lake memphremagog.
