An ebird search made me think it was a bit early for a Bicknell's Thrush on
Mt. Mansfield, but I had a job today at the radio tower building, so I had
to give it a try. Luckily for me, there were two gents from the U.K. who
were on the same mission, and they had a recording to play. I gave them the
bad news from ebird, and we went to the far end of the parking lot where I
thought I had heard a thrush-like call on my way in. Pretty soon, a
Bicknell's flitted in to a low perch and gave us a good view. A lifer for
all three of us.
