I agree Hector, and I think what Scott said about 'maturing' as a 'birder' is quite true. I find now that I mostly want to hear nothing from myself or any other humans when I 'm birding other than what nature offers unsolicited from me spishing
or using a playback device. But I can remember not that long ago when spishing was part of my birding tools. Now done sparingly mostly for others (field trips) or CBC's.
