At 4:50 am he sounded off at the edge of the 'lawn'. Sixth year he (or his off spring I guess) nested here. But standing 40' away and video digiscoping with a 35mm lens, The Hermit and Wood Thrush chime in and all along the Scarlet Tanager never stops it's song. These tiny microphones in cameras are amazing. Ok video for 5" bird from 40' away and swung around just enough to catch the Tanager at 150' away. Boy does that song carry. As I digiscoped Cedar Waxwings and another 7 species of warbler sang out. I was 15' from my bedroom : )
