Midday, so beautiful but quiet.  Ran Creek Road, Shard Villa Road, Salisbury Covered Bridge, Rte. 30, Cornwall Swamp and South Street Extension.

Yellow-rumped Warbler, Yellow Warbler (several locations), Yellowthroat (swamp), Nashville Warbler (Swamp), Northern Waterthrush (at least 6 individuals in the swamp west of the covered bridge, Warbling Vireo (several locations), Yellow-throated Vireo (near confluence of Middlebury River and Otter Creek), Indigo Bunting (same location), Rose-breasted Grosbeak (mid-way Creek Road), House Wren (several locations), pipits (near covered bridge, heard not seen), phoebe (bridge over Middlebury River and West Cornwall Village), bobolinks (East of covered bridge.

Alas, no ibises (or is the plural ibes).  Also a strange crow attacking a red-tails making a noise unlike any I’ve heard from either common (adult or juvenile) or fish crows, a caw, but almost high-pitched.  Any thoughts?
