The bird is still there. At 5:51PM it is on the SE corner of the of the
rectangle at the west end of the pier. I have lots of close, high
resolution pictures. Who would like what? The bird is almost certainly
a snow goose, replete with dark grin patch. Some of the black wingtip
feathers appear to be out of position. The bird is not particularly
wary of slow moving people.
