Re swallows: I live in Sheffield, near Lyndonville. In the past I've
seen fair numbers of barn swallow and tree swallows here. But I see fewer of
them now. There were a few swallows in June, but I saw no signs of nesting,
and then they left. Now there are none. Also, I've seen very few swifts --
none recently -- and only one kingbird. I used to have kingbirds on the wire
all summer. -- David Zimmerman
