I used to have barn swallows, in the barn, every year.  There is still  
a place for them to nest, but they haven't been here for at least a  
decade.  And I always had tree swallows, but this year they checked  
out the house and didn't come back.  On my trips from Lincoln to  
Middlebury I have seen very few swallows of any sort.  I just tried to  
use ebird to see if there is a trend statewide, but couldn't figure  
out how to do that.  I'd love to see data for the last 10 or 20 years.
