On Saturday, July 20, you are invited to join us for our third bird walk of the 
summer at the Catamount Outdoor Family Center. This year the GMAS is working 
with the COFC to promote birding at the Center. After conducting intensive bird 
monitoring at the Center for several years, the GMAS published a bird checklist 
for the Center in 2009 which listed 116 species. Since then we have continued 
our monitoring surveys there and have added 18 additional bird species to this 
list. This checklist will be available to the participants in this walk.

This summer the GMAS is sponsoring bird walks at the COFC each month from 
May-September. These walks are free and open to the public. We will meet in the 
COFC parking lot on Governor Chittenden Road at 7:30 A.M. on Saturday morning.
