Hi folks!
The North Branch Nature Center's "Avian Wonders" summer camp kicked off
with a good start today in Groton State Forest. Despite a sprinkly
morning, we managed to find a hole in the fog and observed a juvenile
Peregrine Falcon on the ridge at Marshfield Mountain. The Olive-sided
Flycatcher pair was busy working the swamps along the rail trail.
At Kettle Pond, we observed a pair of loons with a baby riding "piggy-back"
and a Canada Warbler was singing loudly along the pond.
Good birding,
Larry
