Milton has stacked Cisco 3750 switches as its core switches in the main
closet for each of the buildings. In all of the secondary closets, we
have Cisco 3560s. Between each of the closets and between buildings, we
have a 10Gb fiber link.
We went with Cisco years ago because they were the only manufacturer to
provide POE switches with the "at the time" not yet adapted AT level of
power which we needed for our Aerohive wireless system. If HP had a
product that provided that at the time, I probably would have gone with
HP. I love their warranty and tech support. (especially when compared to
the very pricey Cisco scenario).
