I'll be interested to see if you get any solid leads on this. I've been
disgusted with the options I've found for repairs on Infocus projectors,
which is what we used to buy, so that's what's dying now. It generally
costs more to repair them than what they're worth. Authorized repair
centers charge at least $60 just to look at them, and then you have to pay
shipping both ways. Blue Raven Technology fixes projectors for a flat
rate. That rate is $299! Most of the ones that have died around here are
older projectors that only have at most 800x600 resolution, and are
probably rated for at most 2000 lumens. Lately, we've been buying Epsons.
You can get brighter Epson VS220s with the same resolution for $319 on
It stinks, but we generally just buy a new one when one dies.
