Comments:     Most of the birding was done walking along Wild Cat Road.

Canada Goose  6     Landed while observing.
Wood Duck  8
Mallard  2     Arrived while observing.
Ring-necked Duck  1     Single resting male with beak tucked under wing but wide 
awake checking surroundings as indicated by yellow watchful eye!
Common Loon  1     Heard calling.
American Bittern  1     Flushed.
Sharp-shinned Hawk  2     Dislodged and harassed by a phalanx of jays.  The 
hawks did attempt to turn the tables.
Red-tailed Hawk  1
Belted Kingfisher  2
Downy Woodpecker  1
Northern Flicker  3
Eastern Phoebe  1
Red-eyed Vireo  1     Observed.
Blue Jay  46     Including a loose group of 28 moving south.  Birds were 
ubiquitous and vocal.

Swainson's Thrush  1     Single bird in same group with Hermit Thrushes.  This 
bird had prominent white "spectacles", showed no buffy coloration.  Back and 
wings were smoky/olive green as were the breast and belly spots/smudges but a 
shade lighter.
Hermit Thrush  2     Two birds recognized in part by bodily gyration and reddish 
coloration of tail.
American Robin  5
Song Sparrow  1

American Goldfinch  4
Evening Grosbeak  4     Heard the shrill call of two birds.  Later saw a group 
of four birds flying, not visually observable as grosbeaks, except for one that 
was calling.
