A nice mini wave of warblers along with a merlin and juvenile loon, the latter preparing for take-off in the not too distant future.  

The area experienced an horrendous thunderstorm the previous evening.

Common Loon  2     Including one juvenile that was observed to be 
exercising/strengthening its wing muscles by flapping and running/flapping trial

Merlin  1     Observed first on power line cable then flushed to a tamarack tree 
where it was harassed by two jays that caused the bird to depart the area.
