Dear Sigrid,
Herb has invited me to attend the SftP conference, and I would really like
to as representative of the South African Science Journalists Association,
but I would have to motivate as soon as possible for funding. Is there any
summary of the purpose and nature of the conference that I could use to
begin that process?

Hello. The website is under construction at the moment. I really hadn't
intended for it to be quite so public until the web manager and I could
get it reorganized. (Herb's now a lit a fire under all of us, and I
guess we shouldn't be surprised but should appreciate the effectiveness
of his activist spirit! :) )

I'm almost ready to get the registration underway, but I'm just waiting
on a few details before making it live on the Eventbrite site. I don't
want to set the whole thing up and then realize that I've got details
wrong that will be hard to correct. It will be ready in the next few
weeks. Sorry for the confusion.

In any case, as soon as we're ready to start registering people, I'll
post another announcement to this list-serv directing people to the
registration page. And at that point the website will be much less
confusing, I promise! It's in a transitional moment here...

Thank you all for your support and patience!

Sigrid
