I was totally taken by surprise when I arrived home a short while ago to
find a Gray Catbird in the yard! It flew up into the Sugar Maple next to
the driveway, stopped briefly and then flew out to the largest crabapple in
the back yard. It began to eat the fruit once it landed which gave me time
to grab my binoculars to absolutely confirm this very late, very cold and
fluffed out Gray Catbird.

So...with the Nashville still in Waitsfield and the Catbird here in
Moretown, our CBC could be very interesting this year!
