Comments:     Temperature 27 degrees F.  Some snow and sleet.  Minimal ice, 
surprisingly!  Observations from various stations around the lake.

Bufflehead  24     A single group. leisurely diving, separate from the goldeneye 
and mergansers.
Common Goldeneye  186     In a mixed group with Mallard and Hooded Merganser.  
Hooded Mergansers tended to remain as a homogeneous subgroup.
Hooded Merganser  86     Largest single group numbered 57.
