Drove some of the back roads of West Haven this morning in hopes of intercepting a Rough-legged Hawk or even a Snowy Owl. Neither bird was seen but a skein of ~ 120 Snow Geese did pass overhead moving in a southerly direction. Also observed were six Yellow-rumped Warblers, first a single bird then a group of three then two. Of interest also were two Northern Flicker in an Eastern Redcedar feasting on the "fruit; along with a flock of starlings and a single robin.
