Central Valley Vascular Center is recruiting a Registered Vascular Technologist for the position of Lead Technologist. Central Valley Vascular Center is a full service vascular clinic lead by an high energy board certified vascular surgeon, and RPVI, who also serves as the medical director of noninvasive vascular testing. The clinic has been paperless for the last three years and uses VascuPro for non-invasive testing needs as well as Athena Health for charting in the clinic. The office equipment is a Philips iu-22 equipped with linear, curved, CW, blind TCD and sector transducers as well as a Zonare equipped with a linear and sector transducer. We also have Hokanson strip chart recorders for PPG. You will work with a high quality junior RVT
As lead technologist, you will perform and enforce high standards of quality testing, prepare accreditation packages (reaccreditation due Dec, 2014), conduct quality assurance and test validation, update protocols and criteria, train technical and support staff, prepare reports participate in the growth of the lab and engage with the medical community. As part of the team, technologists perform non-invasive vascular testing including, but not limited to, cerebrovascular, upper and lower extremity arterial duplex and exercise treadmill evaluation, upper and lower venous duplex, abdominal and renal artery, dialysis access evaluation and preoperative vein mapping.
