Greetings,
This is a great question - Amber and I have been talking about her use of
General Record Schedules on records in her office, which includes developing
a records management policy that documents what schedules are being used and
how. You can find these schedules on our website here:
http://vermont-archives.org/records/schedules/general/.
I would love to see any policies anyone has, as well. We do not currently
have a model policy from a town and I'd love to develop one with any of you
who has written a policy or would be interested in doing that.
To those of you who are looking for examples - I'd be happy to supply the
Secretary of State's Records Management Policy, which covers the use of the
three most commonly cited General Record Schedules. I do not believe I can
send attachments to the listserv, so I'll send it to you individually by
email if you request it from me.
Thanks!
Rachel

Does anyone have a Record Retention Policy that they would like to share
with me? I am in the process of attempting to write and adopt new policies
and was looking for a jumping off point. If anyone has one they would like
to share you could send them to [log in to unmask]
Thanks
Amber
