I have to correct some careless reporting on yesterday's Red-headed
Woodpecker in Norwich. The bird was most definitely an adult, but I
shouldn't have labeled it as a male - the sexes are indistinguishable.
Chalk it up to naive excitement on my part. Actually, I was just testing
you all. Eric Hynes, go to the head of the class, and thanks for
catching me!
