I wish NPR could have a "Story Corps" interview program for hummingbirds - where they told their northward migration stories. We've had our first four hummingbirds arrive at our feeder in RANDOLPH CENTER in the last 24 hours. Two of them looked great, but the other two looked like they've come through a tornado: ragged, roughed-up and itchy. (Always within a day of Mother's Day, although I think these were wayfarers).
Hats off to these little bejeweled creatures, and welcome back!
