Upcoming workshop at the Green Mountain Audubon Center. We'll be looking
beyond bird song to consider the other voices that birds use and their
implications. Open to all experience levels, this workshop should offer
something to both experienced birders as well as those brand new to birding
and birding by ear.
*Exploring Bird Language*
*Saturday, May 31*
*8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.*
Why is that robin chattering? And what does it mean when all the birds in
the forest fall silent? By listening to our feathery friends, we can tap
into an ancient alarm system that reveals the locations of other animals
and the impact of our own movement across the landscape. This workshop
will introduce you to the five voices of the birds and will open your
senses to the movements of the natural world, teaching you to move
invisibly through the forest.
