Right... "local group policy" (a misnomer perpetuated by Microsoft) is
not Group Policy. Local Group Policy is actually local machine policy,
and it has only a small subset of full Group Policy functionality.
Probably the quickest way to accomplish what you want is to use a logon
script. This option is found under:
User Configuration -> Windows Settings -> Scripts (Logon/Logoff)
You could add a one liner script here such as:
net use k: \\KostServer\KostShare
