Greg MacKinnon has accepted a job at Stanford University in California. He
will be their "Windows System Architect", a senior technical position in
the central IT Services unit at Stanford.
Greg has been at UVM for 14 years, and in that time he has done an
outstanding job of building systems and IT infrastructure to meet the
needs of the campus. I will deeply miss Greg. He is an invaluable member
of our team.
His final day at UVM will be this Friday.

The University of Vermont is seeking a Senior Windows Systems
Administrator to help support UVM's central server infrastructure. This
position will focus on the design and implementation of Windows
infrastructure for the University.
The key goal for this position is to maintain enterprise services in a
highly available and secure fashion. The primary services supported by
this position include SharePoint 2010/2013, SQL Server 2008 R2/2012,
System Center Operations Manager 2012, ADFS, IIS, Active Directory,
Group Policy, file (DFS) and print services, general server hosting,
server security management and monitoring, as well as Windows endpoint
management using MDT and SCCM 2012. This position is also partially
responsible for our VMware View-based VDI environment and server
virtualization environment.
Significant scripting or programming experience in a Windows environment
is required.
