My district is always looking to hone procedures and documentation regarding our 1:1 program. Does anyone know if there is a repository of AUP's and other documents which are used in SU's across the state?
If you have the time, I would appreciate any input regarding procedures that really seem to work when it comes to managing devices in your district. Specifically, I'm looking for information on things like this:
Do parents have to sign a permission form for their child to get a 1:1 device? Do they accept potential liability for it? What do you do when a parent refuses to sign? How do you determine what a parent has to pay when a device is broken?
Do students have to sign anything to signify they understand school rules regarding technology and the AUP? If you have BYOD in place, what are the rules governing it?
What responsibility do teachers have in inventorying and tracking equipment which is stored in their room?,
