Today Sue Elliott and I explored L. Bomoseen and Half Moon State Park. The most interesting finds were a NORTHERN SHRIKE flying by at the golf course on Bomoseen.Waterfowl included c. loon, pied-billed and horned grebes, black scoters, hoodies, mallards. We hiked into Half Moon where chickadees and both nutchatches abounded. C. Goldeneye and hoodies on the pond. The most unusual find was an OVENBIRD.
Great day to be out.
