INNOVATIVE TECHNIQUES FOR THE STUDY OF SOIL ORGANIC MATTER BIOGEOCHEMICAL
Convener: NICASIO T. JIMÉNEZ-MORILLO | Co-Conveners: CORNELIA RUMPEL,
BORIS JANSEN, LUIS PARRAS-ALCÁNTARA, MARCO A. JIMÉNEZ-GONZÁLEZ.
Which will take place from 12 Apr 2015 - 17 Apr 2015, Vienna, Austria.
BRIEF SESSION SUMMARY
Currently, the study of processes related to soil organic matter is
complex. The development and use of new analytical techniques allows
obtaining new data, detailed characterization of soil organic substances,
possible sources and the study of processes for which no information was
This session will focus on the discussion of innovative analytical
techniques in the study of soil organic matter processes and associated
biogeochemical cycles. Research conducted with analytical techniques such
as analytical pyrolysis, the study of the isotopic signature, nuclear
magnetic resonance and other advanced techniques will be welcome to this
