I spotted a flock of Cedar Waxwings accompanied by a single Bohemian Waxwing on Market St. in South Burlington about 11 A.M. this morning. This is likely the same flock that has been circulating around Deerfield Drive, Spear St., and Nicklaus Drive in South Burlington for the past few weeks.
Anyway, most of the flock was perched in some birch trees across from the Venue nightclub. Look for the stone lions with the green and red eyes. A few of the birds dropped down from the birches to feed in the crab apple trees across the road. The flock was moving around, so I would not be surprised if they ended up at the U Mall like the rest of us today.
Happy holidays to all.
