Beef processors gear up for US marketing blitz

Irish beef processors are gearing up for a major assault on US  
markets, with plans at an advanced stage for an east coast blitz in  
three weeks' time.

I believe this raises several questions that are worth asking. Mainly,  
why is this happening? What resources does Ireland (~53°N) have that  
Vermont (~44°N) does not?
