I'm looking to help set up a means for (mostly asynchronous) communication among (~14 yr old) students at schools on different continents as a means of exposing them directly to others' ways of life. I was thinking that the easiest solution might be for each school to have its own blog, with students at that school being the (multiple) authors. Students would then follow (and comment on) the blogs from the other schools.
We're hoping to have active back and forth via commenting on the blogs so I'm looking for a solution where students would be notified not only of new posts but also of new comments on blogs they follow.
Or would another (non-blogging) environment work better? Any thoughts are appreciated!
PS another consideration is that the schools involved differ in terms of tech access and policies, so flexibility is important. TIA.
