Both an American Golden-Plover and Stilt Sandpiper were present during a quick visit to the Brilyea Access of Dead Creek WMA in Addison this evening. Both were on the far side of the water viewed from the first pulloff along the entrance road. The Stilt Sandpiper was foraging with 3 Greater Yellowlegs, and the group eventually flew off to the north. The plover was present during my entire visit, and still there when I left. It had a lovely hue in the light of the setting sun.
Enjoy the Fall migration!
