I don't think LDAP is working for me lately, either (Thunderbird /
Windows 7). I noticed recently that I'm only getting autocomplete in the
address field for contacts that are already in my Personal Address Book
or Collected Addresses.
And here is an oddity: If I type in a (UVM affiliated) name not already
in my address book in the To field in a new message in Thunderbird,
nothing comes up. If I open up the Address Book, click on the UVM LDAP
lookup in there, and search for the same name, it comes right up. If I
then go back to the message window and enter the same name in the To
field, the address will then come up. I tried this several times, with
different people, with the same results each time.
