Hi All -
I've got a Hudsonian Godwit in Basin Harbor Rd at the confluence of Dead
Creek & Otter Creek. Unlike Jim's experience this bird (and all the other
shorebirds with it) are moving around a fair bit. Something has the birds
fairly skittish. However I too had great looks at it in that muddy area
about 300-500 feet south of the bridge on the right hand side. So it does
flit in there periodically, as do some of the others.
There are many shorebirds - and the way they move around offers up an array
of different birds. I've been here since about 10:00 am and am still able
to pick up the Godwit periodically.
Good luck if you feel like braving the winds and periodic sleet!
