After reading Isis Erb's post this afternoon I decided to check Delta Park and the Colchester Causeway. Nothing much doing at Delta Park, but when I got to the Causeway a woman walking her dog stopped me and asked me if I was looking for Snowy Owls. Um, yes, I answered. She said she had seen one about 15 minutes previously during her walk along the Causeway. I walked as far as the South Hero-Colchester line and sure enough I spotted a Snowy Owl perched close to the shore on the South Hero side of the "cut". 


Not sure if this is the same owl that Isis reported or a different bird, of course. Regardless, the Snowy Owl season is off to a good start.
