It’s too snowy to drive to Addison and too cold to stand on the bridge, so instead of the duck show I’ve been watching the finch show at my feeders: at least 35 goldfinches, at least 4 Purple Finches, at least 6 House Finches. The air is full of their songs!

In addition to finches, there are juncos, chickadees, Tree Sparrows, Mourning Doves, cardinals and the giant crows that strut about finding one seed at a time from the snowy ground.
