Yesterday, (Sunday 1/3), while walking the Harrington/ McCullough road loop (3.8) miles in North Bennington, I encountered a
huge flock of Wild Turkey. They were on Harrington Road in a field behind a house (2 fields away from my vantage point). Counting them twice through binocs the flock numbered 114! A couple of folks also walking the loop stopped and marveled at the sight with me. I took a very bad picture with a point and shoot camera to document and attached it to the eBird report.
Also seen: crows harassing a raven, 14 skeins of geese numbering 295 birds flying overhead, no doubt seeking open water further south as
the small ponds here in the Banana belt have begun to freeze over.
