Hi - With the wind-driven rain kicking up here in So. Burlington,
suddenly we had a gorgeous male Red-bellied Woodpecker swoop in to
feed at one of our suet feeders. At the same time, a few feet away at
our other suet feeder was a female Hairy Woodpecker. Trading places
with these two were a pair of Downy Woodpeckers, one of which would
take over whenever one of the larger birds vacated a feeder. The only
thing missing was our male Hairy Woodpecker which was around this
morning but a now-show at the suet party this afternoon.
