I stumbled upon a large flock of more than 100 Bohemian Waxwings this afternoon. They were perched in trees at the corner of Orchard Road and Ordway Shore Road (Pvt) in Shelburne. About a dozen Cedar Waxwings were present, as well. I had spotted a few Bohemians earlier this year, but this was the largest flock I have seen by far. Always welcome at this time of year.
