Hi there fellow flownetters,
I recently moved to the Los Angeles area from NYC to be closer to family. I'm reaching out to anyone who might be in need of an extra pair of hands. Im an RVT with almost 3 years experience but have been running into some roadblocks out here. I've discovered that the majority of positions I've applied to require a general license, which I unfortunately don't have at this point in time. I have been considering going back to school but after talking with a couple of community colleges and hearing that of them has a 7 year waiting list while the other a "much more reasonable ;)" waiting list of 2 years has made me stop in my tracks a bit. I don't mean to be playing the pity me fiddle but at this point I'm feeling a bit disheartened to say the least.
If anyone needs an RVT, I've got a solid amount of vein experience: reflux, evlt, ugfs and I worked in vascular sales prior to being an RVT for Trivex (transilluminated powered phlebectomy for those not familiar) and for CoolTouch. Or if anyone has some suggestions of how I can network or get connected out here I would greatly appreciate it!
