Hi all, for those of you who are interested in the birds of the upper and middle Connecticut Valley I have just completed an ebook on the bird populations of one of the most important birding sites in the valley - The Birds of Hinsdale Setbacks and Bluffs. This addresses in some detail all 244 species that have been recorded there over the last 80+ years, discussing their seasonality, relative abundance, numbers, etc. It is 70 pages and contains about 50 bar charts, maps, and photographs. The Hinsdale sites are contiguous with Vermont, indeed many of the birds reported in the book were seen from the Vermont side of the river. So, even if you never stray from VT, this is still a useful book for you. If you want to know more about migration and breeding birds in the Connecticut Valley this ebook is a good beginning. If you are an old hand in the valley this book is a useful summarization about what we know of its bird populations.
