An Eastern Towhee called loudly to me as I walked by him no more than
four feet away in a garden rosebush this morning; he continued while I
paused to enjoy his return in bright Spring colors. A Phoebe sang above
and Juncos trilled below. A Turkey Vulture low over the trees was being
hassled by a crow who had a couple of Red-winged Blackbirds after it.
