Saw two snipe feeding together along a drainage ditch/brook in Essex, by a wetland. Watched them for twenty minutes or so, at close range with binoculars sitting in the car. About the only time I normally see snipe is during their winnowing-noise flight, so this was special. Others are reporting kestrels, and I too saw one - in a snag in the wetland.
And, last Wednesday saw close to 100 Bohemian waxwings in or near an ornamental crabapple, in Jericho.
