Hi All,
The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department is in the process of converting the old manager's residence at Dead Creek into a visitor center. As part of that, we are working with VT PBS (the same folks who bring you Outdoor Journal) to produce a video about the history of Dead Creek and its current features, use, and management. As part of that video, we are looking for a few Dead Creek birding stories from those of you who frequent Dead Creek or have a special fondness for the area.
I have already enlisted the help of one birder (thank you Ali!), but I am looking for 2-3 more stories to include. If you have a great birding story or a special fondness for Dead Creek that you would like to share on camera or in an audio recording, please email me at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>. Perhaps you brought your great aunt to see the snow geese once, or perhaps you sat out in the rain for 4 hours waiting to see a specific bird? We would also be excited to hear from an aspiring birder who maybe got hooked on birds while visiting Dead Creek!
We are limited with our budget and time, and will not be able to record everyone's story, so please include in your email the details of your birding story or why you want to be included in the video. We will then select the stories that best fit our needs.
Thank you for your help in this endeavor and enjoy the spring!
